Wine Country Half Marathon
Saturday October 27, 2012
Santa Rosa-Healdsburg-Geyserville, California
And what a day it was on October 29, 2011! Runners from all over the country experienced a picture perfect day as they ran from Coppola winery to Lake Sonoma in the 4th annual Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon. Most came for the beautiful course, the wine tasting, the great weather and the colorful Halloween costumes. But spectators were treated to a surprise as two course records were broken and the men's competition ended in a near dead heat. Mario Macias of Alamosa, Colorado defended his title by one second over Sergio Reyes, of Palmdale California with a course record 1:04:34. Julia Mallon, of Santa Rosa, California set the women's course record with a 1:17:34. Congratulations to all who attended for a fabulous race and a wonderful weekend!
WARNINGS: There is a limited field and the race sells out. Sign up early!
